Tips for writing for Web 2.0 : present online info in chunks and/or visualize it.
Web 2.0 = a social network / social interaction and about collective intelligence and user generated content => shift from website to webpage.
Chunking is a method of presenting information which splits concepts into small pieces or "chunks" of information to make reading and understanding faster and easier. Chunking is especially useful for material presented on the web because readers tend to scan for specific information on a web page rather than read the page sequentially. (Source : Wikipedia)
Information graphics or infographics are visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics are used anywhere where information needs to be explained quickly or simply, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education. (Source : Wikipedia)
As a result of web 2.0. and web 2.0 services (automated links thru RSS or social bookmarks to a webpage for instance), website visitors no longer come in thru the homepage. A visitor often misses context as he does not start at your homepage but follows an external link to one of your webpages. Therefore webpages should give readers a clear and quick overview of the usability of the text. (Shift from websites/portal to webpages (universeel adresseerbaar). Branding should go on content pages, not on a banner on top of website.
